EMD festival programme has traditionally included the most recently written pieces as well as the more ‘established’ works which form the foundation of Estonian contemporary music. The best of local musical force unite to deliver a fine selection of new works of various shape, from symphonies to music videos to chamber music. As a special theme, EMD 2008 reaches out to both young and new audience through unusual formats, such as a special Festival game, interactive multimedia piece for high shool students or through exciting big events such as the Young Musicians Gala Concert. April During the festival week, the audience will be able to enjoy 26 concerts and altogether 41 premiers in concert venues varying from churches and universities to theatres and warehouses.
