Viktoria Grahv (26.05.1984) has graduated from Georg Ots Tallinn Music School in composition (teacher Tatjana Kozlova-Johannes), from University of Tartu Viljandi Culture Academy in music pedagogy (supervisor Guldžahon Jussufi) and from Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre in composition (prof. Helena Tulve). Grahv continues her composition studies in master’s program.

Viktoria Grahv has written mainly chamber, piano and choral music. Electronic music and audiovisual works also play an important role in her oeuvre.

Grahv’s music is characterized by sound sensitivity, abundance of colors, dreamlike fragility and unexpected solutions. In her work, she looks for ways to reflect poetic texts and states of mind in music. Besides music, poetry is an important form of creative expression for Viktoria Grahv. In 2022, her first poetry collection “Une-eelne” was published.

Grahv’s works have been performed at festivals such as Estonian Music Days, Suure-Jaani Music Festival, COMMUTE festival, Athens Digital Arts Festival (Greece), SiMN – International Symposium of New Music (Brazil), Ottawa International Animation Festival (Canada) and others.

In 2024, Grahv’s piece “Su looriäär üle läve” won the main prize at the competition for female composers organized by the chamber choir Voces Tallinn, and the trio “The Archeology of the Garden” won the first prize at the composition competition of the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre.
